Halloween 2012 ~Scarecrow Costume~Review

Well it won't be long now and Halloween will be upon us. Each year the kids and adults alike get dressed up and go door to door or in adults and some kids cases they have home parties. I wanted to get a different costume this year and after looking at all the costumes I could choose from to review, I finally chose the Scarecrow. Well I got my grandson to model for me and doesn't he look cute? The pants were a wee bit too short for him because he is over the 6ft. mark but all in all it fit him well. What do you think? His arms are outstretched like a scarecrow in a field. I should have had him stand in my garden. That would have worked.

This costume includes a light brown burlap top with straw-like fringes, a red, white and blue belt and wrist ties, matching pants with raw fringes and coordinating ankle ties, and a pointed black hat with a red, white and blue patterned band. Scarecrows are human-like figures dressed in old clothes that are stuffed with straw and used to scare hungry birds away from crops. They have been used throughout history and have been featured in literature and film. You can use makeup to complete the Scarecrow look. Then you are set to go out and have fun.
