Crayon Rocks Giveaway~ US Only~ Ends June 16/2012 CLOSED

A child's first writing tool is usually a crayon, and that crayon should be one that encourages him or her to use thumb, first and second fingers in a tripod grip.
This is what makes Crayon Rocks a wonderful tool for fine motor development.

A really good crayon should take very little effort in applying great swaths of color to the paper. In fact, that crayon should be as much like paint as possible. Great colors that go on smoothly and easily, helping little fingers to grow strong as they spill their creative ideas on to paper.

Children with cerebral palsy, autism, developmental delays and various forms of learning disabilities have tested Crayon Rocks in the classroom. Parents and teachers of special needs students often comment on how much their children love them.

I was sent the Crayon Rocks and they came in two separate bags. One a small white bag, and the other one is a large red velvet bag. The Treasure Bag, had 8 crayon rocks in it and the red bag had 16 crayon rocks in it. I love the pastel colors of them all.

Crayon Rocks will produce rich, oil pastel-like pieces of art work that kids can be proud of.  But to achieve a look that is truly beautiful you have to know how to use the crayons in the most effective way.

Encourage children to use the flat sides of the crayon instead of the tip to get broad swaths of color on the paper. Give it a quick buff with a tissue or the palm of your hand. The surface will shine up like it's been waxed....; which, of course, it has!

** Crayon Rocks are all natural soy wax crayons made from USA grown soybeans and colored with mineral pigments.

**The colors are vibrant and can be layered to make beautifully textured art work.

**They were designed to strengthen the tripod grip muscles, preparing fingers and hands for handwriting.

**The shape allows small fingers to color in large, wide strokes creating pictures rich in color.

**Used by occupational therapists to develop fine motor skills.

One of my US readers, (sorry Canadians) is going to win their own package of Crayon Rocks for their child to enjoy.

Happy Coloring Kids!
